Also, 24 border guards were awarded state awards.

Among the servicemen who received new housing are 49 families of border guards who participated in hostilities, in particular 18 of them were injured during fierce battles in various directions, including Mariupol defenders from Azovstal, who were also captured by Russia. Another 5 families are relatives of dead and deceased war veterans who gave the most precious price for our freedom.

All those present honored the memory of Ukrainian heroes who gave their lives for Ukraine with a moment of silence.

During the handing over of the keys to the apartments, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Ihor Klymenko, wished the border guards family comfort in their new homes, to protect themselves, their lives, health, relatives, relatives and brothers.

"I also appeal to the parents and relatives of the fallen border guards who received housing today, and this is of course the least we can do, it is a very small drop of attention in the immense ocean of pain and grief, but it is in memory of your children, husbands, wives , who gave their lives defending Ukraine. We, the living, must remember those who gave their lives for our future, and we must continue to live and unceasingly fight for the victory of Ukraine," said Ihor Klymenko.

Provision of housing for servicemen is one of the priorities of the State Border Service.

"This is our duty. Caring for soldiers and their families is the norm. First of all, dignified treatment of our defenders. And the state policy in this matter is unchanged.
